Grilled Ciabatta Buns with Mozzarella, Avocado, and Pear

On day two of my grilling feasts at the cabin I decided to go for a cheesy grilled sandwich. Little did I know that I was about to create my Magnum Opus.

I don’t want to exaggerate but this was like angels giving birth in my mouth or a mouth organism or like waking up and realizing you’re a boy wizard.

The point is that when it is time for me to leave this world, I want to die with this in my mouth.

What could it be? It seems so simple and yet it was perfectly beautiful…

Ladies and gentlemen: my grilled sandwich with mozzarella, avocado, and sliced PEAR!

Again the cheese didn’t melt on the grill but it was soft and melty in my mouth.

What exactly was in it? On a ciabatta bun I added:

  • Vegan Mozzarella
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Veganaise
  • Dandelion leaves
  • Fresh avocado
  • Sliced pear (the golden kind, not green)

I don’t know how I can describe it, the pear was the perfect amount of sweet to offset the cheese and dijon. It was a soft and full bodied taste on a crispy bun.
